Helicopter crashes, four people on board killed All four people on board were killed when a private helicopter crashed into the Verde River near Yinghao Park on Saturday while flying from Sardonna to Scottsdale, Yavapai County Sheriff's Office officials said. The search team found the remains of four victims at the crash site on July 1. After verification, they were 70-year-old Raymond Perry, a Phoenix resident, 68-year-old Cave Creek resident Karen Sting, and 64-year-old Glendale residents Danway and his wife. Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board are searching for the plane's black boxes to determine what caused the tragic crash. Camp Verde is located about 86 miles north of Phoenix.
