Monterey Park police remind residents to be wary of cell phone thefts. In recent times, there have been a number of mobile phone theft cases in Montreal. In order to remind the public to be more vigilant and avoid becoming the next victim, the Los Angeles County Police Department recently issued a warning and put forward 8 suggestions for self-protection. 1. Turn on the password or identification code function of the phone to prevent the personal information inside from being stolen after the phone is stolen; 2. Keep the serial number of the phone; 3. Do not store personal secret information in the phone; 4. Turn on the GPS function of the phone. If the phone does not come with this function, you can buy it in the market, so that you can track the phone after it is stolen. 5. Be wary of strangers’ distracting conversations. This is the most common scenario for cell phone theft. Often, at this time, another person is stealing the cell phone in your pocket behind you; 6. Do not put the cell phone on the table in the restaurant, but hide it in your pocket or handbag; 7. Use another phone to call the police immediately after the cell phone is stolen; 8. If you see a thief, do not fight with him, but write down the other person’s license plate number, color, model, and escape direction.
