Two earthquakes a week, a shallow earthquake occurred in Beverly Hills early in the morning A 3.5-magnitude shallow earthquake occurred in Beverly Hills in the early morning of the 7th. The earthquake was felt in most parts of Southern California. No damage or injuries were caused. The earthquake, the second to hit Beverly Hills this week, occurred at 12:03 a.m. and had a very shallow epicenter, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was felt in much of Los Angeles. People from Santa Monica to the San Fernando Valley reported feeling the tremors. Apparently this was caused by the earthquake occurring at shallow depths. Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said that the Los Angeles Fire Department entered a state of emergency after the earthquake. All 106 fire stations conducted damage surveys, and the Fire Department's helicopters were also hovering in the sky for inspections. The earthquake emergency ended at 12:46 a.m., and the fire department did not find any casualties or losses. The quake in Beverly Hills was the second in two weeks, the first occurring at 3:27 a.m. Monday morning when a magnitude 3.2 quake struck. Seismologists did not immediately say whether the two quakes were related.
