Kiosks in Arizona shopping malls were fined for not marking prices. The state Department of Weights and Measures recently conducted a surprise inspection and found that many kiosks in shopping malls marked product prices, violating state law. The department inspected 52 kiosks at four shopping malls, Christown Spectrum Mall, Superstition Springs Mall, Scottsdale Fashion Square and Desert Sky Mall, in July and August and found that only half of the kiosks complied with the law and marked the prices of all goods for sale. Sean Marquez, director of prices at the Department of Weights and Measures, said that if consumers find goods without price tags in any store or kiosk, they have the right to refuse payment and report them to the department.
