Mexican woman arrested for smuggling banned drugs into the country Customs arrested a Mexican woman at the southern border of the state on Monday, allegedly possessing banned drugs commonly used by rapists. Mariposa Customs Enforcement agents found 310 vials of ketamine in the car of 51-year-old Josephine Dominguez. Ketamine is a clear, odorless, and tasteless liquid that was classified as a prohibited narcotic drug by the Drug Enforcement Administration in the early 1960s. Because ketamine can also cause amnesia, authorities say it has been found in numerous sexual assault cases where victims were fed the drug before the attack. Dominguez will be indicted on drug trafficking charges.
