The jury is deliberating the case of Scottie's father who killed his son (Alberta Times) The main suspect in the murder of Scott's father and son has pleaded guilty, and the jury will begin deliberating the fate of Andre Leiter on Wednesday. In closing arguments, Leiter's defense attorney did not dispute the charges raised by the prosecution, that is, the defense admitted that Leiter killed his two sons, aged five and one, in his home in 2010, and then attempted suicide. Defense attorneys tried to convince the jury that Leiter did not have premeditated murder of his two sons, but was just a random impulse caused by the pressure of a broken marriage and financial difficulties. However, prosecutors said they would release the suicide note that Leiter left for his wife, claiming that it was written by Leiter before committing suicide and tempting his five-year-old son to sign it. It was proved that Leiter's murder of his son and his suicide had been premeditated in order to avenge his wife. The case has not yet been concluded.
