Two people escaped after a helicopter crashed (Alberta Times) The pilot and passengers escaped safely after a helicopter crash in Lake Havasu on Saturday, authorities said. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office alleges that 40-year-old Phoenix resident Mike Robert Coritianson flew a helicopter on October 27 and took his passenger, Mike Raab, to take photos on the lake. After the photo was taken, Corritiansen turned the helicopter around and headed south. At this time, the helicopter lost control, hit a skid in the lake, and fell into the water. Corritianson and Rab were rescued by boaters who were in the lake at the time and were not seriously injured. The wreckage of the helicopter has been recovered and handed over to the Federal Aviation Administration for investigation.
