According to the Associated Press report on the 23rd, in order to "recognize" the hero Charles Ramsey (pictured above) who saved people, many restaurants in Cleveland, Ohio decided to provide him with free burgers in the future.
Ramsey lives in Cleveland and is a dishwasher in a restaurant. He became a household name "hero" after helping three imprisoned women be released.
Ramsey’s neighbor Ariel Castro is suspected of kidnapping and imprisoning three women for 10 years.
In an interview with a TV station, Ramsay recalled that on the 6th of this month, after hearing someone shouting next door, he put down the McDonald's Big Mac burger in his hand and went to his neighbor's house to see what was going on. He then helped a female victim escape, called the police, and assisted the police in rescuing two other women and a 6-year-old child.
> Ramsey’s rescue story was subsequently widely reported by many media. Some netizens adapted what he said during the interview into a song, which has been viewed more than 400,000 times on the video website YouTube.
In recognition of Ramsay's charity, the restaurant where he used to work made a special burger for him. In addition, more than a dozen restaurants in Cleveland have unanimously decided that in the future, whenever Ramsey dines in the restaurant, burgers can be eaten for free.
