Helium balloons will be launched from the American Spaceport in southern New Mexico. Passengers can move around freely without wearing spacesuits and oxygen masks. Since the balloon is made of high-performance polyethylene film, the biggest challenge of the project is ensuring the structural stability of the helium balloon and testing its flight controls. This weekend Phoenix will also host the Salt River Fields Balloon Spooktacular (10/25-10/26). For details, please see: http://www.srfballoonfestivals.com/SRF BalloonFestivals/Spooktacular_Home.html
