A "sea of clouds" spectacle recently appeared in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. At dawn, the ground rapidly releases heat, creating a layer of cool, moist cold air in the Grand Canyon. However, the hot air at high levels blocks the rise of cold air on the ground, resulting in this rare "temperature inversion" phenomenon.
This kind of "temperature inversion" phenomenon usually occurs once every one to two years and is limited to local areas. However, such a spectacular scene in the Grand Canyon only occurs once in about ten years. The U.S. National Park Service captured this beauty.
