ABC 15, Phoenix - Due to the increase in temperature in the Phoenix Valley this week, the impact of the monsoon seems to be 'slow'.

The temperature in Phoenix reached 111 degrees this Thursday afternoon (July 14, 2016). This is the 19th day of the year with temperatures over 110 degrees Fahrenheit. We're going to have more hot weather like this this weekend.

The temperature will hit 113 degrees Fahrenheit in Phoenix tomorrow and 111 degrees Fahrenheit this Saturday.

Nighttime low temperatures in Phoenix are still very 'warm' this week, with temperatures reaching cooler levels only in the morning.

With the arrival of hot weather, the sun exposure index also increases. 10 am to 4 pm is the hottest time of the day, so please try not to stay outside for more than 10 minutes, otherwise you risk sunburn.

Monsoon cold air will return to southeastern Arizona in the next few days, bringing showers and thunderstorms. The Phoenix Valley area's chance of heavy rain next week is between 10 and 20 percent, with temperatures holding steady between 108 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
