Choosing an ideal city to live in is not easy. Most of the time, people have to choose from an area with a low cost of living or an area with expensive living costs but high income. But there are also some cities in the United States where living costs are not expensive and incomes are high.

GOBankingRates, a well-known American financial website, conducted a survey and found some cities with higher average annual salary and lower cost of living.

To identify these cities, GOBankingRates used data from Zillow, Numbeo, and the U.S. Census Bureau to analyze and rank 270 U.S. cities. In its analysis, it took into account factors such as median home rent, grocery costs, utility bills, and transportation in each city to determine the average monthly cost of living in the area. The average cost was then deducted from each city's average annual income so residents know how much money they have left after spending.

>GOBankingRates selects 10 cities in the United States with high incomes but low cost of living based on the amount of funds remaining in each city after deducting basic expenses each year. Phoenix ranks fourth with an average annual income of $73,135.
