Pursue excellence and lead the future – the first youth exchange conference of the "Tsinghua Youth Outstanding Program" was launched

After months of careful preparation, the first youth experience exchange conference will be held on February 25, 2012 at Stanford University in Silicon Valley, USA. The purpose of the conference is to promote young people to exchange their experiences in life and growth, including multi-culturalism, to pool their ideas, and to learn from each other.

The conference adopts the format of an international academic conference. Participants can only submit papers or submit papers and give lectures on stage. There is no limit to the topic of the paper. It can be an experience that affects life, an event that promotes reflection, a pursuit of self-transcendence; daily life in school, a unique personal learning process; summer social practice experience, science summer camp activities, school club activities, community charity activities; experience in participating in famous academic activities or science and technology competitions, participation in literary and sports groups or competitions, etc. All approved papers will be bound into a book and shared with participating students and parents. The conference will have keynote speeches by educational guests, followed by student paper presentations. At the same time, a jury composed of famous professors and educational celebrities will make on-site comments. Excellent papers will receive corresponding awards. Several excellence awards will be selected from various aspects such as speech content, speech skills, expression methods, etc., and certificates and bonuses will be awarded. The maximum prize is US$1,000. Submitted papers and speeches are in English only, and the thesis volume can be subsequently translated into Chinese.

The Tsinghua Youth Distinguished Program is a non-profit organization initiated by Tsinghua alumni in the United States.
