Submission from Phoenix Chinese School. On January 29th, Phoenix Chinese School held its annual Spring Festival Garden Party at Mesa Community College. In addition to performing dragon and lion dances, the teachers and students of the school also carefully planned singing, skits, quizzes and other programs. In addition, the Dream Angel Band and alumni Wang Zilong were invited to perform wonderful martial arts. In addition to parents, former principals and alumni, we were honored to have Mr. Deng Chaoju, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, deliver a speech this year, Mr. Gao Zhizhong, Overseas Chinese Affairs Councilor of the Republic of China, Ms. Xu Kailai and Ms. Qi Aihua, founders of the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association, Principal Pan Shou'an of Mesa Community College, Ms. Shuai Zhiruo, former principal and chairman of Hope Chinese School, Mr. Zheng Tieyu, and Phoenix Chinese beauty queen Josephine Yang. The scene was very lively. This year is the Year of the Dragon, and the teachers have carefully arranged some programs about the dragon and Chinese New Year to have fun with everyone. Not only did the opening ceremony include the "Lion Presenting Auspiciousness" with loud gongs and drums, but there was also the "Little Lion Dance" performed by the second basic class. Class A of the third grade performed the "Golden Dragon Presents Auspiciousness", the sixth grade performed the short play "The Hungry Dragon", and the ninth grade performed "Dragon Talk in the Year of the Dragon" and sang "Descendants of the Dragon". Although the Chinese New Year has already passed, the students still wished everyone a happy new year, said some auspicious words, and sang "Congratulations on getting rich, bring me the red envelopes." In addition, other classes also prepared wonderful singing and dancing programs, a full two-and-a-half-hour program, which was also interspersed with lottery activities. The activities were compact and the whole place was full of joy! This year's Spring Festival garden party not only had wonderful performances, but also the special dishes carefully cooked by the enthusiastic mothers, which made people salivate. All kinds of stir-fries, side dishes, soups, and desserts were all sold out. These mothers will use the meals sold for charity at the venue to raise funds for the school. Here we would like to pay our greatest respect to these hard-working mothers!
