Last Saturday, March 17, the young Sichuan-Chongqing Friendship Association ushered in its second New Year Annual Meeting since its establishment. Men, women, old and young were all very happy, and each family brought one or two delicacies cooked at home, of course spicy ones were the main ones. Not only was the dinner sumptuous and unique, but the artistic performances were also colorful. From folk songs, dance, erhu, piano, to martial arts, Peking opera and Sichuan opera face-changing, it can be described as east, west, north and south. Friends came from all over the world. In addition to overseas Chinese leaders, there were also representatives from other hometown associations, as well as American friends. There are even many fellow Sichuan and Chongqing people visiting from other states and China. The entire party was relaxed and leisurely, once again reflecting the Bashu people's love for eating, having fun, and making friends. I hope that the Sichuan-Chongqing Association will continue its efforts and engage in extensive exchanges with all friends and organizations who love Chinese culture and Bashu culture.
