Chinese-American Congresswoman Yu Yanfen has become one of the 48 most attractive women in Arizona (Translated by the Alberta Times) Chinese-American Congresswoman Yu Yanfen of the 10th District represents Phoenix and the northwest region of Glendale. She was selected as one of the 48 most attractive women in Arizona. The stories of these forty-eight women will be available in select bookstores as the Arizona Centennial Table Book. Yanfen Yu is the first Asian woman to serve in the Arizona House of Representatives. Yu Yanfen said: "I am really honored to join the other 47 women as representatives of outstanding women with pioneering and historical significance. As an Arizonan, I am grateful for the honor given by my hometown. In the book Arizona Centennial Celebration, I am related to the stories on every page and share these stories with everyone. Every woman here has made a great contribution to the development of Arizona." The selection of the 48 most attractive women in Arizona is part of the Arizona Centennial Celebration project, which is the mark of the centenary of Arizona becoming the 48th state of the United States. The winners come from all walks of life, including prison governors, judges, bullfighters and more. Forty-eight attractive women were selected in collaboration with the Arizona Historical Society and the Community Foundation. These women all come from different industries and have different backgrounds. Their leadership awareness and abilities are outstanding in the industry and they have made significant contributions to building a more exciting Arizona. The list of the 48 award-winning women is listed on www.48women.org, including Yu Yanfen and Phoenix Chinese female judge Roxanne Song Ong, former governors Rose Mofford, Jane D. Hull and Janet Napolitano, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Onnor, and U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, etc. In addition, Connie Robinson, chairman of this selection event, said: "The selection committee knows that many Arizona women work very hard every day to improve the quality of life for others and make Arizona a better place. The number and quality of women nominated across the state this time proves this. Their work and belief are extraordinary." The awards luncheon will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on March 26 at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale. The organizer will address the winners. The book "The Forty-Eight Most Attractive Women of Arizona" tells women's stories with photos and words. The book will be available for purchase at the awards luncheon for $65 and will also be available in bookstores around the state. Friends who wish to sponsor this luncheon can call 602-896-9000. Luncheon tickets are on sale until 5 pm on March 25.
