The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) announced on the 31st the winning details of the record-breaking $640 million Mega Millions. In addition to three first prizes, a total of 161 winning tickets, including the state, won the second prize of $250,000. The Arizona Lottery Company said that three tickets in the state matched five numbers, but not the big ball. The second prize refers to all five numbers except the big ball matching, and the pre-tax bonus is 250,000 yuan. There were also 12 lottery tickets with four winning numbers, and the prize was $10,000. MUSL reminds winners to write their names on the back of their lottery tickets to avoid any inconvenience of losing their prize money. According to U.S. law, the winning lottery ticket is regarded as a bearer instrument, which means that any holder can redeem the prize; once signed, he/she owns the property rights of the winning lottery ticket. Although the winning lottery ticket has a period of 180 days to 12 months to claim the prize, MUSL urges the winners to complete the prize claiming process as soon as possible.
