We are a group of overseas Chinese communities that are determined to unite with overseas Chinese communities and provide our compatriots with an activity center that provides social, cultural, and mutual assistance services. In view of the gradual increase in the elderly Chinese population in the East District of Greater Phoenix, but the lack of an activity venue focusing on Chinese culture, this preparatory activity was launched. The following are the current main ideas, and we hope to solicit your opinions:
Purpose (theme): To contact Chinese compatriots over fifty years old (and their relatives and friends regardless of age and nationality), carry out social activities, enrich spiritual and cultural life, and achieve mutual benefit.
Recreational and cultural activities: chess and Go, mahjong and bridge, table tennis, volleyball and basketball, tea ceremony, calligraphy and painting, cooking, health and wellness, travel photography, mountain climbing and hiking, singing and dancing, folk arts and instrumental music, etc.
Service items: 1. Assistance in applying for government benefits; 2. Introduction to various government policies; 3. Training on writing and making a living will; 4. Providing Chinese and English oral and written translation; and living English learning services.
