Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church Chinese School successfully held the "Chinese Culture Competition" written examination [Reported by Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church Chinese School, (Written by Li Zhen, Photographed by Pan Zhenyu)], in order to further stimulate overseas Chinese teenagers’ interest in learning Chinese and Chinese culture and meet the needs of teachers and students in overseas Chinese schools, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the China Overseas Exchange Association jointly organized the first “Overseas Chinese Teenagers Chinese Culture Competition”. On October 28, at 2:30 pm, the first "Overseas Chinese Youth Chinese Culture Competition" was held at the Fengcheng Chinese Christian Church Chinese School. The students participating in this competition were students over 13 years old, and two types of examination papers were used according to the different textbooks they studied. Due to the venue, the examination was held in two examination rooms. In order to get good results, the students checked the information online and reviewed carefully. The teacher also uses class time to explain the exercises. Through learning, the students have an in-depth understanding of the traditional culture of their ancestral country, which greatly stimulates their interest in learning Chinese and Chinese culture. It also broadens their horizons, cultivates their sentiments, and makes them feel the pride and glory of being a member of the Chinese nation. This competition involves Chinese culture, history, geography, politics, current affairs, economy, folk customs, etc. The winners of the written test will go to the China Summer Camp in the summer of 2013, during which a talent competition and a Chinese speech contest will be held (optional items). The winner of the competition can participate in the global finals to compete for the title of "Chinese Talent").
