(Contributed by the Federation of Overseas Chinese) Bidding away the scorching summer heat and ushering in the beautiful golden autumn, symbolizing the arrival of the most beautiful season in the Phoenix area, people will enjoy the beautiful time given by nature. In this refreshing autumn day, the Greater Phoenix Area Chinese Overseas Chinese Association will hold a Chinese Overseas Chinese Golden Autumn Picnic at the lakeside of Kiwanis Park in Tempe City from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on November 17 this year (Saturday). At that time, the Chinese Restaurant Association will provide a delicious Si barbecue picnic, where people can stroll, talk, and fish; participate in ball games or participate in karaoke singing competitions and sing to their heart's content; the children of Feini Chinese School will also move their classes to the picnic that day, so that students can experience Chinese culture first-hand, and they will also show off their learning achievements. We welcome local Chinese and overseas Chinese groups, schools, individuals and your relatives and friends to come and participate. Picnic fee is three dollars and fifty cents per person, children under five years old are free. If you have a group participating, please call or email to register before November 10th so that food can be prepared.
