The preliminary round of the "Voice of Arizona" campus singer competition has come to an end ASU Chinese Student Union, The preliminary round of the "Voice of Arizona" campus singer competition jointly organized by August Love Song KTV and Sunbird Asia Chinese Network came to an end on February 17 (Sunday). More than 40 Chinese and foreign contestants from different schools in Arizona presented two exciting games to everyone. Moreover, the "blind audition" preliminary competition format, which was borrowed from the Good Voice program, was also refreshing to all students participating and watching. After two days of fierce competition, the twelve contestants conquered the three judges with their good voices and will stage a peak showdown at ASU on March 1. The predecessor of this event is ASU's traditional annual campus singer competition. Under the wave of "Good Voice" sweeping the world, this campus singer competition made timely innovations to break the inter-school restrictions within the state, hoping to use the influence of Good Voice to expand the scale of this traditional event. The Student Union and August Love Song have a common vision for this event: they hope to become a brand event among Chinese students studying in the United States. It is for this goal that the planning team of this competition has worked hard, hoping to provide everyone with a feast of music. The format of the finals still draws on the mentor group competition from the "Voice" program. Currently, the twelve players have been divided into three teams by three mentors. These three teams will compete for the final championship and the title of championship team through internal confrontation and inter-team confrontation. Among the team led by mentor Zhang Yezhi, one player stood out, Zao Malin, a handsome guy from the United States who was blond and blue-eyed but spoke fluent Mandarin. Having only been exposed to Chinese for two and a half years, he not only won the judges' favor with his song "One River" written by Wang Luobin, but he also has the ability to speak cross talk. Rapper Jing Jing, who had the most enthusiastic response at the preliminary round, found Gong Zheng, who is also an amateur musician, in the team led by instructor Jiang Xun. The layout of his residence is like a professional music production studio, which not only prepares for the competition, but also provides great musical technical support for this event. The team led by instructor Gao Weijia also includes "Little Wangfeng" Wei Rentian, Chen Hanwen, who has studied opera professionally, and Lin Ruibin, a soulful singer who left a deep impression in last year's competition. With such a lineup, I believe no one will have the slightest doubt about the excitement and intensity of the game. The contestants who are about to enter the final week of preparations are working hard to polish their singing skills and are just waiting for the peak night to shine in all their brilliance. Here, the Arizona State University Students and Scholars Association, August Love Song KTV and "Sunbird" Chinese Network of Arizona jointly extend invitations to people from all walks of life in Arizona. Welcome to come and guide us in the finals of the "Voice of Arizona" campus singer competition. Let us witness the passionate and creative performances of twelve contestants and three teams, and witness the first step in campus activities to go beyond inter-school and move toward unionization and branding. On March 1st, we participated in a grand event. Thank you to the Federation of Chinese Overseas Chinese Organizations in Greater Phoenix City (Overseas Chinese Federation) for their sponsorship and support!
