(News from this website) At 9:00 this morning (April 6), entrusted by the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, the Arizona Overseas Chinese Federation (Hualian) invited the Greater Phoenix Chinese Overseas Chinese Federation (Overseas Chinese Federation) to assist the two consuls Li Zhijing and Gao Xuesong in the process of renewing and reissuing the passport of the People's Republic of China at the Chinese Cultural Center in Phoenix.

As of 11 a.m., nearly 20 families had come to the site to apply for certificates. The furthest one was Dr. Ma's family from the Navajo Autonomous Region College. He said that the information in the early stage of renewing the passport was very clear. They had prepared everything they needed to bring at home, so it was very convenient to go to the site to pick up the number and fill out the form. It only took about 10 minutes to apply for his daughter’s passport. He thanked the Consulate General for providing such a convenient service to the local Chinese.
Another lady from Chandler wants a "living" certificate. Usually this business is not handled when renewing a passport, but after discussing with the consul, it can be handled on a special basis. Hualian volunteer Tao Shicheng helped download the special form and print it out, and helped the woman solve the problem on the spot. She was very happy and said that she finally no longer had to travel to Los Angeles.
The certificate application site was in order. Fei Jian, the president of Hualian, became a full-time photo processor, Zhang Huafang, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, translated Chinese and Cantonese, and the attentive President Cui Zengqi played melodious Chinese music at the scene, making the processing place very Chinese. Almost all the directors of Hualian have become volunteers. Friends who came to exchange their passports were very moved. Some left their names on the spot and expressed their willingness to serve as volunteers next year.
The certificate application process will continue until 3 pm. Chinese friends who need to apply for a certificate should go as soon as possible. (Passports for Hong Kong and Macao SAR cannot be applied for locally for the time being, and you need to go to Los Angeles in person.)
