(News from this website) On July 3, the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association (Asia Development Association) held a press conference at Excelencia School to bring very low-cost children’s medical insurance to the majority of low-income families. Many parents and children came to the scene to inquire about the insurance content.

Graciela Montenegro is a mother of a child who has just lost her job. Her daughter is 13 years old this year. She has a chronic disease and needs about $300 in medication every month for treatment. Since Graciela lost her job, the child's medication has become unaffordable for the small family. A friend told Graciela about the health insurance. With the help of the staff, they signed up for the children's medical insurance. Graciela's baby now has the medication she needs and is well on her way to treatment. They only pay a monthly premium of $15, . Graciela is very grateful to the community for providing such a favorable project and hopes that more children can receive health protection.

This children's medical insurance (Kidscare) is aimed at families with an annual income of less than $46,000. This insurance is available to children under the age of 18 in such families. Insurance premiums range from $15-$50 per month for one child and $20-$70 for a family of two or more children. These children must have been previously uninsured. Children's accidental injuries, chronic diseases and other issues will be covered.

This insurance program can support up to $60,000 of children, and currently more than 36,000 children have participated. Parents who meet the requirements are encouraged to sign up quickly. If you have more questions, please contact: 1 (800) -235-9678.
