Starting in 2010, Tzu Chi Phoenix Liaison Office provides free medical services twice a year, at the end of February and the end of October. This year (2013) is no exception. Press releases about free medical services were published in three newspapers in mid-October, and posters were displayed at the Phoenix Liaison Office to let the grateful families who come to receive food every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday know the news and ask them to tell their relatives and friends to serve residents without medical insurance at the Phoenix Liaison Office at 9 a.m. on October 26 (Saturday).

The temperature was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit (about 28 degrees Celsius) that day. On a warm morning, after 8 o'clock, vehicles were gradually seen driving into the parking lot of the liaison office. The twice-yearly free community medical service was officially available to everyone. Volunteers asked grateful households and patients to sit down and fill in the basic information in order, and then took blood pressure, blood sugar, body temperature, etc. Depending on the department the patient needs, volunteers will guide the patient to the doctor. The departments served this year include: pediatrics, internal medicine, gynecology, dentistry, eye testing, acupuncture, body mass index testing, hearing testing, blood sugar testing, etc.

It happened that the humanities class of the Children's Advanced Class on Saturday was a sketch. The teachers told stories about doctors and nurses helping others, examined patients, and took good care of the patient's body. At the same time, in October The event on the 26th, which provided free medical services to people without medical insurance, was an example. It showed that doctors and nurses make good use of their weekend holidays to come to Tzu Chi to serve patients. Children were encouraged to give the small flowers they had planted to the great doctor and the nursing staff. The children were very happy and said yes. The children's intensive class ended at 2:20. Volunteers and teachers brought the students to the consultation area together. The students held small flowers in their hands and gave them to the medical staff. The medical staff were surprised and received the love from the students. The warm scene also made the medical staff happy, and the fatigue of a long day of consultation was gone.
