The chairman or principal of each Chinese school introduced the current status of school development and teaching management measures in recent years, and put forward many valuable suggestions on how to strengthen cooperation and exchange information in management and teaching in the future. Chen Rongji, principal of Zusun Chinese School, gave a keynote speech on the experience of running Chinese schools. The school was founded in 1950 and is the earliest Chinese school established in our province. It has strong teaching staff and rich teaching experience. In recent years, it has won many awards in the Chinese Culture Knowledge Competition and the World Chinese Composition Competition organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of China, and students have won awards in the "Lu Xun Literature Award" composition competition for overseas Chinese teenagers with a high level.
The biggest good news in the field of Chinese education in this state this year is that both Modern Chinese School and Hope Chinese School were awarded overseas Chinese education demonstration units by the State Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of China. Both schools were established Chinese schools in the 1990s. Through the unremitting efforts of batches of new and old volunteers, they have achieved excellent results in school scale, teaching mode, teacher training, teaching quality and results. They have also accumulated a lot of valuable experience in school management, fund raising and cooperative school running. Everyone agreed that being awarded the title of Model School is an affirmation and encouragement of the teaching achievements of these two schools in the past two decades, and it also sets an example for all our schools and personnel engaged in Chinese education to learn from.
The chairmen and principals of the Chinese schools here believe that each Chinese school has a different environment and background. Through years of persistent efforts, it has developed a diversified and unique school to adapt to the needs of society, with the goal of better spreading Chinese culture. Everyone expressed a common sentiment: Although running Chinese education overseas encounters many difficulties, and volunteers from every school have experienced the hardships, we all have firm beliefs and never give up. All school volunteers have a heart that loves Chinese culture and a firm belief in inheriting and promoting Chinese culture. In the midst of hardships, we share the joy of success.
Those present at the meeting paid tribute to the contributions of the old overseas Chinese in the creation and construction of Chinese schools over the past decades; they especially paid tribute to the first principal of Hope Chinese School, Mr. Tang Xiaoxian, and one of the founders of Modern Chinese School, Mr. Lu Ping, who had worked hard to found two Chinese schools, Hope and Modern, and still care and support Chinese education.
It is rare for colleagues to be together, and there is always endless topics to talk about. Everyone hopes that the principal exchange meeting can continue as a model. When bidding farewell, I hope that Chairman He Shijiang and Principal Xie Xiaohong of the Chinese School will distribute the books and teaching reference books from the "Huaxing Bookstore" project donated by the China Overseas Exchange Association to the schools present and share them with everyone.
