(Newsletter from the Chinese Restaurant Association) The Chinese Restaurant Association of Alberta was established in 1988, and the first "Member Newsletter" (NEWSLETTER) in Chinese and English was sent to each member in May of that year. At that time, the Chinese part was written by hand, but it still left many precious messages for today. For example, due to the poor public security environment at that time, the "Member Newsletter" stated, "On May 11, 1988, a regular meeting was held at the Huamei Restaurant at 2 pm, and the Assistant Superintendent was invited to give a speech. The content was "How to deal with and guard against robberies." Below the "Member Newsletter" is the report The Chinese Restaurant Association established a "new committee" to implement an "important plan". What kind of "important plan" was it? It turned out to be the "Unified Food Purchasing Plan for Chinese Restaurants" that everyone is familiar with today. Tsui mentioned that "the contact on this matter has had very good results" and if successful, "members' profits will definitely increase."

Since then, the Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association and all members have worked together in this direction, successively working with SYSCO Food Company, PepsiCo, credit card companies, towel cleaning companies, waste oil recycling companies, and US. FOOD Food Company... and other organizations related to food and restaurant services have signed contracts, allowing hundreds of restaurant members to receive various discounts. Over the years, the Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association and Pepsi-Cola have been cooperating happily. Recently, we have negotiated new business opportunities to allow members to gain greater benefits. After many meetings, it has been agreed that new members will receive a one-time signing fee of $300, free installation of catering cold drink machines, and new varieties (such as Lipton ice tea, etc.) will be provided. In addition, if there are member meals, The restaurant sells bottled or canned drinks. After signing up, you will receive the first 10 boxes of free drinks, you can borrow a small refrigerator, and there will be sales rebates. For more details, please visit the Chinese Restaurant Association of Alberta website: www.craa.us. . The purpose of the association has been established for more than 20 years, and it is also the direction of continued efforts in the future. The Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association would like to thank all members for their strong support and encourage more new members to join.
