After successfully hosting the 2018 Alberta Spring Festival Gala, the Alberta College of the Arts’ high-level performances have been favored by all walks of life in Phoenix. The school’s programs have been invited to participate in various celebrations before and after the Spring Festival.
Over the years, the Alberta Spring Festival Gala has gradually had a certain impact on society. This year's gala was even more exciting, making more and more Americans fall in love with Chinese art. Around the Spring Festival, several public high schools, junior high schools and elementary schools in Phoenix invited teachers from the Art Institute of Alberta to teach Chinese dance, dragon and lion dance. A high school dance team has been training American dance all year round. This year, teachers Jessica and Qiu Xiaorong from the Art College of Alberta were invited to provide coaching. They introduced the Chinese "fan" element and the dance was particularly novel and beautiful. It is extremely rare for girls to dance dragon and lion dances in China, but there are no taboos for American girls. After the teaching and guidance of teachers from the Art Institute of Alberta, they can dance with ease. "Handkerchief Dance" is children's favorite. After a few classes, they can turn a handkerchief into an umbrella shape. Even parents are surprised by the joy, and primary school students can't put it down.
Art is a common language in the world. Excellent art can always be loved by all ethnic groups. Over the years, the Alberta College of Art has made unremitting efforts in spreading China’s excellent culture and art. In addition to completing his teaching duties, he also went to various schools, communities and social groups to perform and teach Chinese folk arts, sparing no effort to widely disseminate Chinese culture and art. In various activities such as China Week in 2018, the New Year Gala, and the International Mother Language Day held at Alberta State University, the programs of the Alberta College of Art were warmly welcomed by the audience. With hard work and hard work, the Art Institute of Alberta has sown the seeds of Chinese art in Arizona, and the flowers will bloom in the spring.
