Confucius Institute at Arizona State University Lecture on Chinese Culture Topic Li Qingzhao Qian Zhongshu At 4 pm on April 21st, the Confucius Institute at Arizona State University held a lecture on Chinese culture at ASU Classroom 5536 of Coor Hall held "Li Qingzhao's Controversy on Feminine Culture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties". The speaker was Dr. Ronald Egan, PhD in Chinese. At 4:00 pm on the 22nd, a lecture "The Motive and Purpose of Qian Zhong's Writing of "Guan Zian Bian"" was held in Classroom 103, ASU LL, Arizona State University. After the publication of "Guan Zhui Bian", scholars unanimously praised Qian Zhongshu for his profound knowledge and unique insights into ancient Chinese books and Western literature. However, ordinary readers are a little confused as to why Qian Zhongshu devoted himself to this seemingly trivial treatise. Professor Alano will start from the content of "Guan Zui Bian" and other remarks of Qian Zhongshu to explore his motivations for undertaking this huge project. Sometimes the words Qian Zhongshu avoids are more worthy of our attention than what he says.
