At 2:45 pm on April 24, the Chinese team (GPC) played the third round group stage of the third Phoenix Asia Cup with the South Korean Tigers (TAE-GEUK). Due to the Easter holiday, our team lost many generals including Wu Qunli. Even though we were leading in scoring, we failed to hold on and lost the opportunity to enter the top three. The Chinese team played calmly after the start and controlled the rhythm very well. In the first half, forward Wu Yi scored with an angry shot, but was tied by his opponent shortly after. Then midfielder Ricky shot and caused a handball in the opponent's penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick! He made it in one fell swoop and calmly pushed the ball into the net. In the subsequent games, due to the decrease in physical strength of our players, the team members made more mistakes in cooperation, but they never allowed the opponent to score. In the last ten minutes of the game, a dramatic change occurred. The opponent chased two goals in a row and fixed the score at 2:3. Our team lost a great situation. After the game, the players reflected and self-criticized, and agreed to see you at the Asian Cup next year! The Phoenix Chinese Football Team (GPC) is mainly focused on football fitness and making friends. It also strongly hopes that new players will join the team, enrich the team's strength, and fight side by side on the field of the Asian Cup and other competitions in the future!
