The Chinese Language and Literature College of Alberta held a graduation ceremony for the spring class of 2011 and celebrated Mother's Day (photo). Alberta Times The Chinese Language and Literature College of Alberta held a graduation ceremony for the spring class of 2011 for Saturday and Sunday classes at the school at 10 a.m. on May 7. Teachers, students and parents gathered together to share the results of the students' learning of Chinese and Chinese culture. They also celebrated Mother's Day and paid the highest respect and blessings to the great mothers. The president of the Alberta Times, Zhen Shuoqin, specially brought his granddaughter Li Jiesi to attend the graduation ceremony to congratulate the students on graduation. President Zhen affirmed and supported the vigorous promotion of Chinese education and the spread of Chinese culture by the Alberta Chinese Language and Literature College, and encouraged the students to study Chinese well and inherit Chinese culture. At the same time, President Zhen gave a red envelope bursary to the Alberta Chinese Language and Literature College to support the compulsory education of the Alberta Chinese Language and Literature College. For his contribution to promoting Chinese language and Chinese culture to mainstream schools and mainstream society in the United States, the versatile Li Jiesi performed a beautiful guzheng performance on behalf of the Chinese Language Institute of Alberta at the Chinese Culture Week event in February this year.
