Warmly welcome the Chinese American Elderly Association in the Washington area to visit the Huangcheng Chinese Seniors Association Yang Jiqun The Chinese American Senior Citizens Association will visit the Huangcheng Chinese Senior Citizens Association from May 26 to May 27, 2011. This is a festive day for the senior citizens of the two major cities in the east and west to gather together. The two senior citizens' associations will gather together to exchange experiences, learn from each other, enhance understanding, deepen friendship, learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, and make their respective senior citizens' associations better and more impressive. Here is a brief introduction to the association: Chinese American Senior Services Association, Inc. (Chinese American Senior Services Association, Inc.) In order to provide comprehensive services to the Chinese elderly in the area, various Chinese elderly groups in the Greater Washington area jointly registered with the Maryland government in 2005 and established the Chinese American Senior Services Association. The association currently has more than 1,500 members and more than 180 volunteers. All operating funds rely on the enthusiastic dedication of volunteers and have received a number of government subsidies. The association assists the government in promoting community services and unites with Chinese elderly groups to help provide friendship, fitness, education, and encourage the elderly to participate in voluntary services and give back to the society. It has launched various activities beneficial to the elderly and organized various societies such as Sunset Red Chorus, Grandma Dance Team, Year-End Music Art Troupe, and Xiaoyao There are a total of sixteen teams including the travel club. Each of these teams has its own division of labor, such as regular outpatient clinics at the elderly disease prevention center and regular health examinations for low-income residents. Each team has different activities, such as Tai Chi, aerobics, group dance, table tennis, English classes, computer classes, citizenship classes, cooking, mahjong, tourism, etc. Different teams are arranged to carry out activities every week from Monday to Friday. The association organizes colorful and lively activities, allowing the elderly in the area to have a fresh and active place to spend their old age. The association will have a party with the Fucheng Chinese Elders Association at 10 a.m. on May 27 at the Chinese Elders Center. There will be exciting performances. Friends are welcome to attend this event and watch the performances. Finally, I wish the Chinese American Association a successful visit.
