Notification of Chinese Language Test Scholarship (Four-Week Trainees) I have just received a notice from the Examination and Scholarship Office of Hanban: The "Chinese Language Test Scholarship (Four-Week Trainees)" will continue this year. The number of scholarships provided by Hanban to the North American Chinese Education Service Center test center is 13 people. Please read and forward the attached "Examination Scholarship Notice". Due to time constraints, applications for the 2011 Chinese Language Test Scholarship will be on a first-come, first-served basis, while applications are filled. Instructions for the four-week trainee scholarship: American students who are over 12 years old, have taken the YCT exam, and have no experience studying in China in the past year can apply. The study period is from July to August during the summer vacation. The specific time and host institution will be arranged by Hanban based on the registration status. Through classroom teaching and cultural practice activities, students can study Chinese language and culture and improve their Chinese language level and ability. The scope of scholarship funding includes: registration fees, tuition fees, basic textbook fees, living expenses, accommodation, outpatient medical services and comprehensive insurance for international students in China. Note: You are responsible for round-trip air tickets, visa fees, and personal expenses. In addition to first submitting the 2011 Chinese Language Test Scholarship-Registration-Form?#20043;, applicants must also submit the following materials (in duplicate): 1. "Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Form" (attached) (Note: You can only fill in the city for the first and second choice schools) 2. Copy of passport photo page. 3. Application statement. Applicants must introduce their Chinese language learning background, study plans and goals in China, etc. in Chinese. No less than 200 words.
