>Alberta Times has added an "international special edition". Since its establishment 21 years ago, this newspaper has always attached great importance to the use of information provided by Xinhua News Agency and China News Service. In recent years, it has been awarded weekly special editions [China], [Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan], and regular special editions [Shanghai World Expo] compiled by Xinhua News Agency; regular continuous special editions [Beijing Olympics] and [Sichuan Chengdu] compiled by China News Agency, etc. Starting from this issue, China News Agency has added a weekly special page [International] to this newspaper. This has indeed played a good role in improving the quality and level of our Chinese media. At the same time, it is conducive to us to concentrate our efforts on grasping the information of the local Chinese, rely on the joint efforts of special writers and columnists, run a good life garden and literary supplement, and build a Chinese community newspaper that has both commonality and individuality, a distinctive banner and local characteristics, and serves the needs of the overseas Chinese. This newspaper would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the readers and enthusiastic supporters inside and outside Alberta and even across North America! Special offer for long-term subscribers of this newspaper: 35 yuan for one year; 70 yuan for two years; 100 yuan for three years; 20 cents for each subscription.
