Pay attention to hepatitis B and spread love - Hepatitis B screening by Asia Pacific Health Promotion Association (picture) At 9 a.m. on July 30, 2011, the Asia Pacific Health Promotion Association conducted a free hepatitis B screening event at the Vietnam Community Center. A total of more than 40 people came to this event. Volunteers took blood samples from people who came for screening and sent the blood samples to the laboratory for examination. The blood test results will be sent to the subjects within a week. Among the people who came for screening this time, most of them were Vietnamese, and a small number were Chinese. The reporter met a Vietnamese friend who came for the test at the scene. They said they knew that the proportion of hepatitis B virus carriers was relatively high among Asians, and it was precisely because of this that they came to participate in the screening. When they were in Vietnam, they also had friends who were hepatitis B virus carriers. Volunteers and subjects were consulting. During this event, the reporter was fortunate enough to meet Xu Kailai, the founder of the Asia-Pacific Health Promotion Association, and Doug Hirano, the executive director. They told reporters that such a screening activity would cost about $500 per person if a private doctor was hired. The Asia-Pacific Health Promotion Association provides this opportunity to Asians completely free of charge. Not only that, after the test results come out, if hepatitis B virus carriers are found and they belong to low-income groups, they can also apply for free two effective drugs to suppress hepatitis B virus through the Asia-Pacific Health Promotion Association. The market price of these drugs is also very expensive. These free health screening activities do not require a green card or U.S. identity, and people visiting relatives from China or the Asia-Pacific region can also participate. The Asian Pacific Health Promotion Association is a non-profit charitable organization focusing on Asian health. They provide many free health services based on Asian physiques. Currently, due to budget constraints in the U.S. government, funding to charitable organizations has stopped. In order to continue to provide health services to Asians, the founder of the Asia-Pacific Health Promotion Association, Xu Kailai, and the executive director, Doug Hirano, raised funds and applied for funds. All the expenses for providing free medical services to Asians are now raised by the Asia-Pacific Health Promotion Association. There is a dental clinic across the wall from the Vietnamese Community Center. The space at the Vietnamese Community Center is provided by the doctors of this dental clinic. He is of Vietnamese origin. When he rented the clinic, he rented this space specifically for Vietnamese children to attend classes and for elderly friends to organize activities. This small space brought a lot of happiness to the Vietnamese friends. Even though it was a Saturday, the clinic next door was still open. The reporter came to the door and saw that there were many patients waiting for treatment. In order not to disturb the owner, the reporter did not enter the clinic. I just took a photo of this charitable brand. Love Dental Clinic
