The fifth "Phoenix Night" Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day activities have attracted much attention (picture) The fifth "Phoenix Night" Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day event preparatory meeting scene The fifth "Phoenix Night" Mid-Autumn and National Day event preparatory meeting was held on Sunday, September 11th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Chandler Public Library. After intense preparation and publicity by the Arizona Chinese Federation and the Confucius Institute at Arizona State University, as well as the strong assistance from the Greater Phoenix Federation of Chinese Federations, this event has gained widespread support from the local community and mainstream Arizona society. Chen Zhunmin, Education Counselor of the Consulate General in Los Angeles, and Wang Hongming, Consul of Overseas Chinese Affairs, will come to Phoenix to participate in this celebration. Representatives from the Governor's Office, officials from the Arizona Bureau of Industry and Commerce, and officials from the Arizona International Import and Export Bureau will attend this event. The theme of the forum "Cooperation with China", as well as the three speakers with experience in Sino-US cooperation, as well as their wonderful workplace experiences, made many American entrepreneurs and Chinese studying and working in Arizona very interested in this forum. There will be only 200 seats at the venue, first come first served. The Youth Poster Design Competition in this event was even more unexpectedly popular. The Arizona Confucius Institute received more than 300 entries in total. The selection work was busy and gratifying. Many American children signed up to participate. China has brought them many different cultures and customs. Among all the contestants, the organizer selected more than 50 winning works and displayed them at the venue. The winning contestants will receive their awards at the event. Various groups and volunteers involved in the organization of the event did a final sorting out of all aspects of the forum, reception, and dance that day to ensure that all details were covered and the event was held smoothly and successfully.
