The Chengdu Art Friendship Visiting Group gave wonderful performances (photo) Starting from the evening of October 14, 4 wonderful performances by the Chengdu Art Friendship Visiting Group were held at the MIM Music Grand Theater. Professor Hu Yuqing, dean of the School of Arts of Chengdu University and vocal educator, was commissioned by the Chengdu Municipal Government to organize a group to perform in Phoenix to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Chengdu and Phoenix sister cities. Phoenix City Councilman Michael Johnson personally welcomed the delegation members. Members of the visiting delegation (from left to right) Chen Wei, Tan Yong, Hu Yuqing and Liu Yi performed wonderfully, especially the Erhu solo performed by Professor Tan Yong, deputy dean of the School of Arts of Chengdu University. "War Horse Galloping" was a superb interpretation of the momentum of galloping war horses. It was highly praised by Chinese and American audiences, and the theater received thunderous applause. He returned to play again many times. The classical dance "Long Sleeves" presented by Chen Wei, a dance performance artist from the School of Arts of Chengdu University, showed the dancers' calm posture and dancing with the music. It reminded people of the Feitian murals of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, which expressed China's long history and the essence of Chinese civilization. Solo dance "Long Sleeves" Erhu solo by Professor Tan Yong New Oriental Art School students' dance performance "Dolma Divine Fragrance" Magic performance artist Yang Yi combined Michael Jackson's dance and singing to surprise American friends in the classic American dance. Local Chinese artists from San Francisco and Phoenix also joined in the fun, bringing unique skills such as cucurbit flute, guzheng, and face-changing. All the guests were intoxicated by the ancient Chinese art. Group photo of performers
