A 64-year-old woman was found dead in Meisha's home. When the police went to check today, they found the woman's body and 31 cats left behind her. After receiving the report, the Maricopa County Police Department went to check on the woman who lived in Mesa. When they entered the house for inspection today, they had to wear a breathing apparatus. Police did not release the name of the deceased. Police have not yet determined when the woman died, but it appears to have been a natural death. Police said the deceased appeared to be a hoarder and the home was in poor condition. The police department and the Humane Society of the United States tried to rescue the cats left behind by the woman and find kind-hearted people willing to adopt them.
