The Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center held a handover ceremony for the new and old directors on January 4, and Liu Keyu, deputy director of the Los Angeles Office, supervised the handover. Representatives of the overseas Chinese leaders in Orange County jointly held a farewell dinner that evening for Yang Juehong, the consul of the Los Angeles office, and Wang Dingyuan, director of the Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center, and to welcome the new director Gao Jiafu. The overseas Chinese community issued certificates of appreciation and presented flowers to express their gratitude to Director Wang for sparing no effort in serving overseas Chinese during his tenure. They also welcomed Director Gao Jiafu to take office. The scene was lively and warm. Director Wang Dingyuan, who returned to Taiwan after being transferred to Taiwan, expressed his gratitude and blessings to the overseas Chinese community. Director Wang said that the Orange County Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Center has the active participation of various overseas Chinese societies and the assistance of volunteers, which makes it easier to promote overseas Chinese affairs. He is very grateful to the overseas Chinese for their support and cooperation. During the dinner, Director Gao Jiafu also thanked Director Wang Dingyuan, who has worked hard at the Orange Overseas Chinese Center for many years, and said that he would continue to promote overseas Chinese affairs in Orange County, San Diego, and Phoenix based on the existing good foundation, and looked forward to maintaining close contact with overseas Chinese communities and serving overseas Chinese. The farewell and welcome dinner was convened by Lu Yaoxun, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Committee. Representatives from the overseas Chinese community who attended included Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee members Qiu Chuihuang and Lin Yinglang, Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisors Xu Zhengxiong, Cai Minhui, Lu Zhongying, Xu Zhansheng, Overseas Chinese Affairs Promotion Committee members Kang Qiuxia and Zhang Yizhen, Gan County Taiwan Physicians and Dentists Association President Kuo Surong, Gan County Taiwan Association President Zhong Heyi, President of the Orange County Chinese Chamber of Commerce He Wuquan, Chairman Xu Qingsong and President Wang Weixing of the Taiwan Hotel Industry Association of Southern California, President Li Xinsheng of the Jianzhong Alumni Association, Principal Sun Aiyun of Xinxin Chinese School, and more than 40 representatives from the Taiwan American Chamber of Commerce in Orange County, the Taiwanese Public Affairs Association of Orange County, and the Orange County Chinese Lions Club.
