Since the establishment of the Alberta Chinese Choir in February last year, under the hard guidance of Ms. Gu Yayu, there have been more than 40 members, and the level of chorus has been continuously improved. Three rehearsal venues have been established at the First Chinese Baptist Church, New Oriental Art School and Connaught Building, with two major teams, Mandarin and Cantonese. Here, I would like to express my special thanks to the above three units for their support and help to the Chinese Choir in Alberta and the amateur cultural and entertainment life of Chinese in this region. Since its establishment, the Alberta Chinese Chorus has participated in performances of various sizes. I participated in the Spring Festival Gala hosted by New Oriental Art School last year, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Ball held by the Chinese Federation of Alberta, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Ball held by the Chinese Federation of Alberta, and the Mid-Autumn Festival Banquet hosted by more than 10 organizations including the Alberta Times. It will also appear again at the 2012 Spring Festival Gala hosted by the New Oriental Art School and the Confucius Institute (January 21, 2012, Saturday, 7:00 pm), and will also sing at a local world-class musical instrument museum to celebrate the Chinese New Year (January 28, 2012, Saturday, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm). In order to further strengthen the organization of the choir and improve the singing level of the choir, we warmly welcome all men, women and children who are interested in choral music to join us and enjoy more communication and singing fun on this platform of Chinese amateur entertainment life.
