Come to New Oriental and learn Shaolin Kungfu!

New Oriental Art School specially hired Master Shi Yanqing, the martial arts monk instructor of Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan, to teach Tai Chi courses and children's martial arts.

In response to the requests of parents, students, Chinese friends in the community and Chinese culture enthusiasts from all walks of life, the New Oriental Art School (tel: 602-490-8613) recently hired Master Shi Yanqing, the martial arts monk instructor of the Songshan Shaolin Temple in Henan, China, to teach children's martial arts (including multiple age groups) and adult Tai Chi courses at the New Oriental Art School. From now on, children and adults in Alberta who love Chinese martial arts culture can experience and learn the essence of Chinese martial arts - authentic Shaolin Temple Kung Fu at Chandler. Master Shi Yanqing, the martial arts instructor of the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan, China, entered the Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Academy to practice martial arts at the age of 12. He has won the first prize in the "World Traditional Martial Arts Competition", the first place in boxing and the third place in swordsmanship in the "Shaolin Boxing Championship". Shi Yanqing entered the Songshan Shaolin Temple to study with his excellent martial arts achievements and love for Buddhism. He has visited more than 20 countries including Germany, France, Austria, South Korea, Malaysia, and Australia for cultural exchanges, performances, and teaching. In 2009, he received full ordination and became a monk. Now he respects the abbot (Shi Yongxin) and aims to carry out cultural exchanges and spread Shaolin martial arts in Arizona, USA.
