Colorful Ink Paintings in Mesa (Photos) (Contributed by Lin Xuan Studio) On July 13, the second weekend of the Fourth of July, students from Lin Xuan Studio exhibited their paintings in the gallery of MESA DOWNTOWN, and also performed the painting process of Chinese painting. They are Karchyi Chang, Julia Zhang, James Zhang, Zi Qing Kuang, Olivia Zhao, and Amanda Gong. Their paintings focus on appreciating the artistic conception, style, charm and tones of Chinese paintings, and display the most profound accumulation of Chinese people's emotions into ink paintings of flowers and birds for the world to see. Chinese painting is different from Western painting. You must first find the subject matter and then find a model to follow the painting. There is always a constraint of the object and the limitations of heaven and earth. Although it has both form and spirit, "meaning" is not enough. Chinese painting is an image of the painter appreciating all things in his life experience. It "goes deep into the core of the rhythm of life" and expresses the painter's deepest interest in a free and harmonious form. Chinese ink painting began in the Tang Dynasty, matured in the Five Dynasties, and flourished in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Taking the brushwork as the main focus and giving full play to the function of the ink method, Chinese painting is not all about the depiction of specific objects, but tends to use abstract brushwork to express personality, mood and artistic conception. Chinese painting has the beauty of lines in architecture, the rhythm of music, and the posture of dance. Its elements are not mechanical realism, such as the exquisiteness of flower and bird painting, which ranks first in the world. The beauty of Chinese painting is not only loved by us Chinese, but also deeply moved the local Americans. No other painting can bring more emotions to the Chinese people like Chinese painting. That is the heritage of the Chinese nation and the classical confidence and temperament of the Chinese people. We are very grateful to the Phoenix Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations for organizing this event, which not only allows Chinese painting to showcase its unique beauty in front of people from all over the world, but also allows students to understand the charm of their own national culture through the practice of learning Chinese painting and performing Chinese painting live, and become confident and proud of their own abilities and Chinese background.
