(Alberta Times) Qingbao Report) With spring flowers and autumn moon, the festival is auspicious. The U.S.-China Cultural and Art Exchange Association held a "Mid-Autumn Tea Party" party at the Phoenix Restaurant on the evening of September 19. Together with nearly 50 artists, cultural figures, and culture and art lovers from Phoenix, they drank tea, admired the moon, chatted, and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Ms. Gu Yayu, President of the US-China Cultural and Art Exchange Association, hosted the tea party. Directors of music education Chen Zhigang, painter Li Cheng, calligrapher Chen Pu, and guzheng artist He Ludi all gave wonderful performances to the guests. Chen Pu used the names of the guests as the answers and wrote more than a dozen lantern riddles for the guests to guess. "King Chuang has lost his true colors" is one of them, and the answer lies in this passage. "Sunbird" Qiuxiang, the person in charge of the Chinese Network in Alberta, recited the full text of Su Shi's "Water Melody Song Tou" on the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival moon appreciation, and received bursts of applause. The guests recited poems and painted paintings, and teacher He Ludi slowly accompanied them with elegant traditional Cantonese music. Many singing, dancing, and painting enthusiasts also came on stage to give impromptu performances to everyone. The oldest art enthusiast was over 80 years old, with bright white hair, and he was full of energy when he introduced himself.
The tea party was rich in activities. Everyone had fun talking, singing, watching, and eating! Guests expressed that more events like this should be held so that friends who love culture and art can have more opportunities to communicate and learn together.
