"Phoenix Night" National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration Appreciation Dinner (Last report from the "Alberta Times") At 6 p.m. on October 14, the Arizona Chinese Federation (Hualien) held a banquet at the Hong Kong Restaurant to thank the volunteers for organizing the "Phoenix Night" National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Fei Jian, president of the Hualian, set the tone for the dinner in the invitation letter. There was no lengthy speech or dress code, and it was a relaxed gathering of volunteers. The dinner started on time at 6 o'clock, and nearly 20 volunteers came. Friends who were familiar with the "Phoenix Night" event finally had the opportunity to reminisce about the past. Many people who worked tirelessly behind the scenes also "surfaced", such as ASU Confucius, who is in charge of the China-US Cooperation Forum. Ms. Xu Zhiping, deputy dean of the college, and her husband Tang Guoming carefully arranged everything from the invitation of guests to the content of the final speech. In order to allow more overseas Chinese to participate in the event, they also held the most lively painting competition, which also created the largest workload for this event. Wang Xinxin, who has been in charge of food for many years, can finally sit down and have a meal with everyone. She is good at singing and dancing, but she did not make it to the dance of "Phoenix Night", so everyone joked that she would continue to be responsible for the food in "Phoenix Night" next time. Her partner, Lu Lihua, the principal of New Oriental Art School, arranged almost all the teachers in the school as volunteers. Linda Wei, who provided wonderful photos for everyone before and after the run. Da Zhao, who held the financial power for this event, Tao Shicheng who provided media contact, Cindy who hosted the stage, Li Jun who gave a wonderful speech, and other friends all sat together that night, chatting about work and life, from the dinner table to the door of the restaurant, reluctant to leave. In everyone's words, this is the only gathering in a year, and there is no need to talk about anything. The volunteers are looking forward to cooperating again in the seventh "Phoenix Night" and hope to bring more exciting activities to the local overseas Chinese.
