Records of modern Chinese schools in Alberta participating in the "Overseas Chinese Culture Knowledge Competition"
(reported by Zhu Yan) The "Overseas Chinese Culture Knowledge Competition" sponsored by the National Association of Chinese Schools once again entered the classrooms of modern Chinese schools in Alberta. Although the school received the notice of the competition less than three months before the exam date, and the new regulations only allow students over 13 years old to register, our school still has more than 60 students participating in the competition. Our school attaches great importance to this competition. School leaders Song Liangwu, Shen Haojin, Tian Shaowei, Song Jiaoyu and others made a lot of preparations for this event. On the day of the examination, the school strictly complied with the organizer's examination room requirements and arranged three large classrooms to ensure sufficient distance between students. Six school directors personally invigilated the examination. However, in the examination room, some students were calm and composed, browsing the test questions calmly and then circling the answers in an orderly manner; some concentrated on answering the questions quickly; some frowned. Their faces were confused; some were hesitant; some were thinking hard. Looking at the serious expressions of the students, it was clear that many students were well prepared. It is worth mentioning that all the students in the AP Chinese class and Jinan Grade 7 class in our school signed up for the competition at the request and encouragement of Teacher Zhu Yan and Teacher Shao Ying. Everyone regarded this competition as an opportunity to broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge, and improve their Chinese proficiency. Many teachers also quoted scriptures and explained review questions for students in class, which greatly improved students' enthusiasm and interest in learning.
