National Association of Chinese Schools "Ninth National Congress" Press Release "News from the National Association of Chinese Schools Headquarters on November 26" The National Association of Chinese Schools "Ninth National Congress" and "Chinese Education Seminar" will be held from Friday, December 7th to Sunday, December 9th, 2012 at the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is expected that more than 200 representatives of member schools and distinguished guests from the Chinese education community in the United States will attend the meeting to summarize and share school running experience and discuss plans for Chinese education in the United States. The National Association of Chinese Schools was established in 1994. Its member schools mainly teach Mandarin, Chinese Pinyin, and simplified Chinese characters. The association has been committed to contacting and serving Chinese schools and Chinese communities across the United States, promoting Chinese culture, and promoting cultural exchanges and friendly people-to-people exchanges between the United States and China. Its services and influence reach tens of millions of Chinese families in the United States. Since its establishment 18 years ago, the association has held eight annual conferences in Columbus, Houston, Washington, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Dallas, all with great success. The theme of the upcoming 9th Annual Conference and Chinese Education Seminar is "Gathering Strength, Broadening Channels, and In-depth Development". After rapid development in the past few years, the business of Chinese schools in the United States has reached an unprecedented scale, and the craze for Chinese in mainstream society has also reached an unprecedented level. Now is the time to consolidate the scale, improve the level, achieve results, and produce results. This meeting will be of great significance to the development of Chinese education in the United States by exchanging information on this situation, summarizing experiences, and formulating strategies. The National Chinese Schools Association currently has more than 400 member Chinese schools in 43 states across the country. The National Chinese Schools Association provides teaching materials, consultation, Chinese competitions, teacher training and student summer camps to more than 100,000 Chinese teenage students and more than 5,000 teachers and staff.
