New Year’s Tea Party of the Kaiping Association of Alberta [Contributed by Yu Jiangying of the Kaiping Association] As the new year is approaching, several executive directors of the Kaiping Association of Alberta held a tea party at Luk Fook Restaurant on the afternoon of New Year's Eve (December 31). On behalf of the association, the executive directors would like to congratulate all the folks and friends of Kaiping Association of Kaiping, Alberta: Happy Year of the Snake, may everything go well, good health, happy family, and look forward to a prosperous new year. The executive directors discussed the affairs of this spring meeting and proposed that they plan to hold a plenary meeting of the board of directors in March this year. According to the provisions of the articles of association, directors have a two-year term and can be re-elected. The president (who must borrow from a villager from Kaiping) serves a term of one term and can stand for re-election after one term of suspension. The vice president can be re-elected for two terms. The board of directors will discuss the election work for the next term, and then convene an enlarged meeting at the end of April to conduct a democratic election to elect a new term of directors. In order to promote strong unity and bonding between fellow villagers and friends of Kaiping, the annual meeting is planned to be held at the end of May. Scholarships for children will be awarded at the meeting. At present, in order to meet the needs of developing new members, it is convenient for members to understand the affairs of the association, exchange letters, and pay annual membership dues. The association has set up an email address: kaipingaz@yahoo.com, Arizona Kaiping Association USA, and a post office box: P, O., Box 33351 Phoenix, AZ 85067
