A delegation led by Legislative Yuan Wang Jinping to attend the U.S. Presidential Inauguration Ceremony arrived in Los Angeles on January 19th. An overseas Chinese banquet was held at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City on the same day. Nearly 200 overseas Chinese leaders from Southern California were invited to attend. Before the dinner, Wang Jinping held a press conference, which was originally scheduled to last thirty minutes. However, due to the sensitive issue of Ma Ying-jeou's qualifications to be re-elected as party chairman, the press conference was extended to nearly an hour. Wang Jinping clearly stated his support for Ma Ying-jeou's re-election as party chairman. Advisory committee member Yin Yanhuan was invited to the meeting and was arranged to sit at the same table with Wang Jinping. Influenced by the Eastern Nobel-Tang Prize, which has become a hot topic in Taipei recently, he became the subject of everyone's inquiries. The Tang Prize was donated by his family, Runtai Group. During the meeting, Yin Yanhuan, on behalf of the supporters of Ma Ying-jeou in Arizona, expressed his support to Wang Jinping for Ma Ying-jeou's re-election as party chairman.
