On the evening of Friday, March 16, 2013, the Chinese Artists Association in the United States and the West held its 2013 annual meeting. Looking back on the past few years, the association has organized a variety of Chinese and Western art and painting appreciation activities in the Chinese community, and a series of lectures on traditional Chinese calligraphy appreciation. It has also opened different levels of painting, calligraphy, and traditional Chinese painting training classes, which have improved the Chinese people's art appreciation and painting level, and enriched the cultural and artistic life of the community. In the new year, the association plans to hold the first Chinese painting competition and exhibition in addition to doing its previous work. and conducted detailed discussions on specific plans. Due to the development of the business, some of the directors of the previous term moved to other states, and some returned to China for development. The Association sincerely thanks them for their enthusiastic work and contributions in the past. The association also elected Ai Wei, Li Mingliang, Liu Jiachang, and Zhang Futao as directors of the association, Liang Meiyan as vice president and secretary-general of the association, and Lin Feng as chairman of the association. Dr. Chen Pu, a well-known educator and calligrapher in Alberta, is specially appointed as the honorary chairman. The new board of directors will continue to work tirelessly to enrich cultural and artistic activities in the community.
