Local families

(Contributed by the Photographic Association) In the era of developing photos, many Americans stored outdated letters and photos in the cardboard boxes used to store shoes. These shoe boxes containing precious memories are often forgotten in the upper floors of closets or in the corners of closed garages. They bear witness to family, friendship, and unforgettable love in many classic Hollywood movies.

Time and space have shifted. In the digital age, the shoe box may be replaced by the hard drive of your computer at home, or it may be your beloved iPhone smartphone. In this era of widespread technology, big cameras and eye-catching long lenses are no longer the only sources of great works. Everyone can capture the "Kodak moment" anytime, anywhere.

Find your “shoe box” and e-mail your photos today. The winner of the Arizona Beauty Photography Contest’s first prize for a single-lens camera is you. To participate, please go to http://www.AZAPC.ORG to remind you that submissions for the 'Beauty of Arizona' Photography Contest will close at 4:00 pm on May 28th.
