(Phoenix Chinese School Contributed) At the beginning of the new year, Phoenix Chinese School officially started its spring classes on January 12th. Looking back on the second half of last year, the fall class adopted the new textbook Better Chinese, and added online teaching to assist students in practicing at home to meet the needs of many non-Chinese-speaking families. In terms of activities, in addition to the annual autumn barbecue and senior word recognition competition, the Student Generation Association also organized many meaningful activities this year. For example, during the Thanksgiving auction, enthusiastic parents and students auctioned items donated by families to raise funds for the school. At the end of the year and the cold winter, the Federation of Youth League launched an activity to donate cans to Tzu Chi to help poor households in need.

In addition to charity sales, Phoenix Chinese School also sells Restaurant Discount Cards. Several members of the Student Representatives Association visited nearly 30 restaurants during last year’s Thanksgiving holiday to obtain meal discounts for Chinese school families. Many new restaurants have been added to the discount card this time. Everyone is welcome to purchase a restaurant discount card at the school office, so that you can not only enjoy delicious food, but also enjoy price discounts. In addition to restaurant discount cards, the school also sells Xinxin Supermarket coupons, and everyone is welcome to buy them.

Spring classes have started, and Phoenix Chinese School will also prepare a series of activities to welcome the new year, including the Chinese Spring Festival garden party, singing and reading drama performances for middle and lower grades, and parent meetings. First up is the annual Chinese Spring Festival Garden Party. The Spring Festival celebration will be held on February 9th from 11am to 2:30am on the Mesa Community College campus. On the day of the garden party, the school will prepare Chinese and Western food provided by parents, accessories and game stalls, and exciting Spring Festival performances. Everyone is welcome to actively participate in various activities of Phoenix Chinese School.
